RARE! Tailgate Protector Bar - early 60 Series, used

Here's one you don't see every day. As far as I can tell this was an option for 1981 and possibly 1982 60 Series trucks. It bolts to the tailgate and protects the upper hatch glass from moving cargo, though it has many other uses. It can be used as a rest for lumber (leaving the tailgate up), a handrail for 3rd row seats in a high-roof 61, or a tow bar for skiers (NOT RECOMMENDED!). What else is it good for? You decide!

Please note, the tailgates that these bars came on had threaded holes specifically for attaching this. Most tailgates do not have those. If yours does not, you would have to drill holes, run through bolts, and get a nut on the back side. That is a DIY project - decide your level of comfort before purchasing!
