2F Timing Gear Oil Nozzle
Rebuilding your engine only to find your timing gear oil nozzle has been spit out and chewed up? Maybe the threads got boogered somehow. You do some research only to find that the part number (90915-01014) is discontinued! Now what?! Not many of your are going to need this, but it's here when you do: a replacement for the original oiler.
These are confirmed to fit all 2F motors in both FJ40s and FJ60s, from about 1975 through 1987 (for US production; the year range may vary for other markets). We would love feedback on whether these fit other Toyota motors like F, F.5, 3F, 3FE, etc. We are currently guessing that this likely applies to those other motors but haven't confirmed that yet. If you want to buy one for those applications we would love feedback on fitment. We always love any feedback.
All the usual caveats and warnings apply to the installation of this oil nozzle:
- Do NOT overtighten into the timing plate, as the nozzle may hit the block and push the timing plate off. This causes a big leak.
- Make sure the oiling port hole points directly at where the timing gears mesh. This is the whole purpose of this piece - don't screw it up!
- Use thread locker, staking, or both to secure the nozzle to the timing plate. Bad things happen if it falls out of position.
